The love shown to us on the cross? Beyond our ability to comprehend!
The glorious news of Christ's resurrection is renewed in our hearts this day each year. How good it is to KNOW that Jesus is ALIVE! He's alive and I'm forgiven. Heaven's gates are open wide!
I hear the poetry of Your Word Five iambs on the rib cage and breathe Every quiet verse and syllable Felling Your passion at Calvary
Every word spoken lingers heavy Loved away what posed the sordid heave Forgive them; they know not what they do Your first prayers were for you enemies
Your life was a hunger for all souls Your last breath parched with thirst All that I did not give unto You You paid in kind with the Eucharist
As your ocean blue skies gaze upon me So not worthy of your paradise I hand over my spirit to you For You, I would pay with my life
I’m just a simple sinner redeemed Captured by the love in Your visage From temptation, the world and the flesh Abba, I pray for forgiveness
The truth of your works captured my heart Like candlelight dancing in the shadows Unafraid of the valley of death Walking hand in hand in the meadows
No greater love than to die for friends Your footsteps I’ll try to retrace I can’t wait till we meet but till then If I could I’d of died in Your place
This is Your body; this is Your Blood Father God, Your will, not mine be done I seek to comfort and follow You In that knowledge may your Grace be won
"Resurrection Day" is a day that WE as disciples of CHRIST should honor and observe EVERY day of the year! The world takes this one day each year (known to THEM as "easter") and perverts it by substituting a rabbit that lays colored eggs in place of our RISEN Savior. There is barely any reference these last days to the TRUE meaning and we as the body of CHRIST, MUST remind everyone, at every possible opportunity ALL YEAR LONG that JESUS IS THE REASON, without HIM, we would all be LOST! Praise HIS MIGHTY name!!!
